126600 brings peace again

In this first half of the year I've impulsively churned through a ton of pieces in my collection and got stuck in a cycle of 'what's next?' amassing 7 pieces and then feeling the sense of glut and selling and consolidating; the biggest lesson and regret was selling my only Rolex, 116610LV, despite collecting a handsome profit. It made me realize how much I missed the nature of a Rolex SS model where I could throw it on day-to-day, know it can take a beating without worry.

That being said, I wasn't interested in backtracking to rebuy the same model and wanted to experience something slightly different, and special in its own right, when reintroducing Rolex to the rotation. I decided on the 126600 MK1. I love the proportions, even the heft. I have a 6.8in wrist and it wears nicer than any other watch of this size that I've come across. Having it has uplifted my feelings of my other pieces and more appreciative of their differences. Now I've found peace with my collection, I've gone and ordered my SO's first DJ. Can't wait for that one to come in.

Went through the same kind of experience with
The sd43 i have had and been through quite a few Rolexes and this is the ss king by miles for me, along with the sky dweller but I’m a little more cautious with that one I wear the hell outta the sd43. Congrats.

Looks like it works perfectly for you. Wearing my 3 y/o MK1 SD43 as I type. It's a great watch and has a special feeling you don't get with a Sub (no offense intended to sub owners). Congratulations!

I have the sd43 (went grey) and just recently got the 126610LV from the AD. I find myself choosing the SD43 almost every time.

I don't know what it is about the SD43... I found myself looking at other watches all the time but after getting the SD43 as a daily driver, I stopped looking and found "my peace" as well. It does everything you could ever want with style and grace yet can be tough as nails.

Congrats on your piece/peace

Well said! Love the SD43! Owned it twice and almost went with a 126603, but alas found my peace/ piece in a 126715.

The SD43 is such a lovely piece and hits all the right notes, it takes some deep searching to realize how perfect it really is even for average to slightly less than avg size wrists, it's truly the only watch that can replace my 116610LV. Congrats.
