Need some advise on a trade...GMT IIC/Sea Dweller.
I might be getting a job where I can utilize a divers watch. I have an TT 16803, but the lume doesnt light up on the hands or hour markers. I have a V serial GMT IIC that I can let go of. Would it be a bad idea to trade off the GMT IIC for a Sea Dweller?

The Deepsea doesnt really smile at me. I am partial to Sub Date or Sea Dweller. I wont find out until Monday if I got the job.

Hmm, the GMT II C is a gorgeous watch ! But, then, so is the SD and Sub Date ! Decisions, decisions ! Try 'em on and then decide. Personally, I would keep the GMT II C and also have an SD !

If I get a Sea Dweller, keeping the GMT IIC would not be an option. It just wouldnt get enough "out" time.

What kind of work are you talking about? The maxi dial on the GMT IIc would seem to have more visibility. If it's a depth issue, maybe a LV Sub with a Black insert.

Newer technology from Rolex - superb Ceramic bezel, much better bracelet, excellent clasp, more practical watch for travel.....and with all the very LATEST features Rolex has to offer. Trading it in for an SD? Bad idea. Do you ever hope to dive below 100 m? JJ

Get the SD... it's a tough watch for what you are going to use it for...
Plus they don't make it any more... you can alway pick up a GMT C later in the future...
