Good deal???

I've found a NIB Explorer II, Z series, for $4250.00 and no tax. You guys think that's a good buy? I think it is and am ready to pull the trigger...

There was one for sale in our forum for $2,900 earlier, about two weeks ago, in the same condition.

IMO these watches are not moving very well. Patience and you should find a better deal..

The seller (TRF member) was on leave in Baltimore, nearly unworn. I touched base with him. Makes you wonder about folks sometimes... He ended trading for a Datejust.

Yes, but it had been worn so it's not BNIB. So for a used one it didn't sound to bad!!! I'd say if you want the watch go for it.....

Deals are to had right not. At an AD where I was taking a look around just killing time they asked me how much I paid for my Z serial DD, and when I told them they didn't believe me. Bad thing is, I didn't even tell them the truth. I told them 6k more than I actually paid. Be patient, and find a motivated private seller if you want a steal. If you're dead set on NIB, you're going to limit your options but if that's what you want pull the trigger.

Agreed, for a USED one, that would be a no-brainer at $2900.

Best price I'd seen up until this morning, was $4695. We're talking about BNIB, to clarify.

Sounds like a good deal to me. That's almost 30% off with no tax. How you gonna beat that on a new watch when the dealers pay almost that much?

Mark, I think it's a good price. I do know where you can get a NIB for about $4100-$4150. Send me a PM if you're interested.

Which dial color are you going for?

Not bad for a brand new one.......hopefully, if it's the white dial.

That's a very good deal....

I have never seen some of the "low-ball" numbers and exotic discounts that some posters claim.

It is definitely a regional thing............ and most of us don't have the time or resources to jet all over the world to save a few hundred bucks.......

then yes, you should buy the EXP-II. And maybe some more...

As a dentist, you should have the white dial for sure. It looks like a nice shiny tooth!

don't blame me! I know you don't need a reason! You're sick like the rest of us!

Aaaanyway, it is a good deal. I saw a pre-loved (but mint) white Expy at my AD today and it was more than that. So I say

Mark, how come an explorer?
I am saving for a top shelf model, like a full gold GMT. Started charging extra for braces to fund the watch fund

Bill, I already have 4 Rollies. I'm not really interested in buying the most expensive models. I mean, if I wanted to, I could (the combined retail value of the four I have is almost $40k), but I would rather have a variety, and I like the idea of having an Explorer II for a beater. Know what I mean?
