For those with the new Explorer, any chance you could do a side-by-side with a DJ 36? I'm curious how the size of the dials compare.

Mine didn't leave my wrist since I got it two weeks ago, which is highly unusual for me. My other watches are going to collect dust ;-)
It replaced my 14270 because of the better bracelet and the lumed numbers. With all the other incremental improvements over the older one, I think it's now close to perfection and could perfectly be a one-watch collection... Cheers |

Picked up last week, worn every day since. Love it! As I've said numerous times, part of me had always regretted not getting the 114270 back in 2009 when I got my 16570.
Each time a new 36mm Rolex has come out for the past three or four years, I've always contemplated getting it (the new OP dials in '18, the new DJ in '19 and the new OP in '20), only to find a reason not to. When this came out, I knew it was my next watch. If I were to change one, and only one, thing, I might have had slightly less bracelet taper by maybe .5mm). However I think that the lug taper (w/19mm width) was a great decision, and makes the watch itself stand out/have greater presence, vs the bracelet. |

Yea, yea, yea...
I always have issues posting pics, and getting them sized right. Of course, I don't expect too many people to fake ownership on this one. In the words of Sean Connery in The Untouchables: "Who would claim to be that, who was not?" |

It is a pain posting pics. It’s persnickety about sizing. I’d give you a waiver, just once, if it were up to me.

I love the new reference, the lume is very impressive too. Best way to describe it as someone noted in another thread - ‘wears like a modern vintage’. Don’t judge the new dimensions before seeing it in the flesh, it makes sense. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

First time post
Hi all, this is my first ever post on this forum. And this is my first ever Rolex Watch. Picked up yesterday from an AD.
Was very lucky to get this piece. I called up an AD and just told a bit about myself, my interest in the Explorer line and my other watches. I probably went on a bit about the different explorers I’ve been looked at over the years and never managed to get hold of it. Low and behold, the next day he called and said they had one in! Was very thankful to the AD. |

Got the call yesterday, mine is arriving on Monday. :) I’ve contacted my AD 6-7 weeks ago, so it was pretty fast. Maybe this one will be first in my country as they had only demo pieces a few weeks ago.

Just got one! Contacted AD the week after release and received a call on July 12th. not bad of a wait time IMO.
