It will be very difficult to source a white dial for the 116500 and in most cases the RSC will not do a swap (though it never hurts to ask).

My advice would be to contact a gray market seller and trade your watch for a white dial model. It will cost you some money since the market price of the white dial is higher, but it’s the easiest way to get what you want.

It has to be white as it’s for my eldest son , He tried to buy one last year but he doesn’t have a spends history that would convince a AD to sell him one , He has had some other priorities like moving house etc and after all it’s only a watch 🙄. I have said I’d keep my eyes open and this example came up local at what I thought was a good price, I panicked and bought it before it was sold. I contacted RSC about a service and dial change , The SS Daytona is one of a few watches dials can’t be changed along with Yellow Gold Daytonas going to green and SS skydweller going to Blue . The young lady was kind to politely explain it all,

I told my son I’d get it sorted and I will , one way or another I’ll px it or buy another .

You need a white dial ,but it obviously didnt hurt to buy the black dial .....

I have both .I can live with either ,each has its own charm .

Swopping dials is not the answer .

Probably cheaper to trade it, if it must be white.

yea... be careful with those

trade+cash with a local grey dealer and it will probably end up costing just a little more than what you might have to pay to source the white dial and get it swapped out

or if you are going to source a dial, definitely go for the steel dial
i'm so tempted to do this for my own white daytona

Likely best option is to trade to a grey for a white and take the hit-albeit a BIG hit.

Another issue came to mind if you do a dial swap. If the watch is sent to RSC in the future, they may confiscate the white dial and send it back with a black dial again. Historically RSC returns the watch to its “original condition” and they will, of course, know that it was originally a black dial. Now RSC policies are somewhat opaque and always changing, but I wouldn’t take the chance.

I think it depends on the service center. I have an authorized service center near me that offered that they buy an alternative dial in case I was bored with the current one.

How is this even cheap? That's $33,000 cad where I'm from. Meanwhile the watch retails at $15,500. You've really committed to the hype wagon here.

This is the U.K. ! . It isn’t hype I bought it for my eldest it isn’t exactly what he wanted ,He can’t buy a white dial he has only bought one watch in five years so he can’t expect our local AD to work some miracle , A friend on here messaged me and said he had three Rolex Daytonas , two ceramic bezel and one steel bezel but all were black

Watchfinder are asking £25 to £30k

List is £10500

My Pal offered it at £18,500 . It would have been silly to Decline it and after checking with Watchfinder they as above are 19250/19750 so even in the middle ,I would be £1000 in profit , I don’t get some of the comments

I will call Rolex again tomorrow and double check the we can’t swap a SS Daytona dial ! I asked Kingshill but maybe St James will have a different idea.
