Blancpain is documented as among the oldest watch brands in the world. Founded in 1735, Blancpain was founded by the mayor of Villeret, Jehan-Jacques Blancpain, who also happened to be a watchmaker. Blancpain developed the world’s first modern diving watch, the Fifty-Fathoms, in 1953. It’s also one of the only watchmakers never to produce a timepiece with a quartz movement. Their entrance to complicated timepieces came with the Calibre 6395 in the 70s under the stewardship of Jean-Claude Biver and in 1991, they established what was then the most complicated wristwatch in the world - the 1735 Grande Complication. The reference 5395 has a case size of 34mm and runs on the Calibre 95 automatic movement, a 19-jewelled movement and has three subdials for day, date, month and a moonphase indicator. I am based in Singapore, I have some references which I am happy to share privately. I have references on Reddit / TRF / WUS as well and also sell on Chrono24.
