2021 Meteorite Daytona Landings! (116519LN)

Looks like DavidSW has a white gold Daytona w/ meteorite on OF. I imagine the rest of the variations will soon be arriving. I’ve been hearing October so this is sooner than I expected!

I just saw David's listing and the first thing I thought of was, there's got to be a thread on this already.

I was not wrong lol.

He probably has a whole team of flippers or even ADs he works with for pre-arranged pricing.

Of course I'm just speculating.

i think it's insane to spend 70k on a rolex on rubber but i'm guessing the people that will be paying these prices are probably wearing RMs already so price isn't an issue for them

The yin to yang of this is if someone bought from AD and flipped AD is pissed. If an AD sold to David then AD is stoked!

I can guarantee that nobody will be seeing the serial number unless their wire to David's account has cleared.

It’s beautiful but 200% markup?

No thanks

I’d take that 68k and do a RG DD and the steel dial 116519. Granted I’d have to score both from my A D at those numbers

But I’d wait a looooooong time trying before buying this one. Just sayin

I had my chance, but having a meteorite dial already, and a new 116519 black dial, I’ll pass at this price

2021 Meteorite Daytona Landings! (116519LN)

One of the few new Rolex’s I’d really like to own, but not at these crazy prices and it’s discouraging to see it as it just means I’m less likely to get an allocation.

In the first picture, the sub dial hands are a light color. In the other pictures, they appear black!

I’m not surprised that the price is this high being the first to market. I’m curious to where they’ll settle after more hit the secondary sellers.

It makes me so incredibly sad. This is a grail of mine and to think it meant so little to someone that they flipped it and it now sells for 2X the price, is really disheartening.

First one is always crazy surcharge. Then tends to normalize a bit.

This has been my view as well. At a certain Rolex price point, it must have the bracelet as a rubber strap is too easy to source if feeling crazy enough to take off the best made bracelet in the industry.

Wow; I knew there would be a markup, but wow! I'll happily keep my steel, but that sure is nice!

I personally think this is a low price. My reasoning, this is far more rare AND desirable than a steel panda.

You could get a steel panda from an ad, trade it in for the space panda, and effectively only pay MSRP with the additional cash as the premium between the two watches is very similar.

This piece is MUCH MUCH harder to get than a steel panda and but this is a space panda dial.
