somewhere there is a picture of orlando bloom wearing a polar explorer ii on a german military bund strap. it looks awesome and would be a great casual/beater combination.

Mark: I thought your GMT was the beater.
I have a two-watch winder, so I am limited to 3 nice watches. After I saw photos from Otto and Mosco, I want a full gold model. I saw an incredible deal at a local store, a pre-owned gold GMT for under $10k. But then again, if I buy it, what am I gonna look for next? What a hopeless addiction.. |

Bill,
I bought it as a beater, and yes, I wear it pretty much everyday, but IMO it's just too nice a watch for me (FOR ME) to wear as a beater. Yes, I wear PPE during working hours, and my sleeve covers it, but you know how we generate all kinds of airborne crap, and sometimes while I'm working my watch pops out from under my sleeve and glove. How in the world did I ever get in this predicament? It's hopeless I tell you! Hopeless! |

You're joking, right? When I was in private practice in Houston, a molar RCT, P&C and crown would have run about $2300, same as what rolexgiants paid. Course I always gave discounts to my friends. Heck, some of my friends money was no good at my office. Hmmm, now that I think about it, I sure had a lot of friends!

Now, I am like a Rolex AD, 10-15% off on basic work, 20% off on major. |
