DD40 Platinum

Anyone ever buy this Rolex and find it to be too heavy or uncomfortable?

Please tell me a mini review of your experience...

Weight not an issue. Arm quickly adapts.

However, to keep watch from flopping around (which is caused by more weight) tend to have to wear more tight, and then lack of adjustable clasp makes this annoying if in a humid climate with lots of wrist swelling.

If you buy me one I'll give you full review of my findings.

Never bought one but tried and it on and found it to be very comfortable. It was heavy but the bracelet felt very soft

I added this platinum DD to my collection about two months ago, a five-month wait on special order via my AD. This watch will never leave my collection. It wears no different than my YG DD 40, but yes it's heavier. Check out Bijou Diamond Jewellery of London, they have a great 12 minute YouTube video on Platinum watches. Everything positive about gold, platinum is all that and more. The pure white brightness and luster of platinum really speaks to me.
Looking forward to your incoming!!

As someone said above you will quickly adapt to the weight, and this is one that I would never sell also! I actually wear this the same way I wear all my other watches, which is fairly loose. If you’re thinking about one, do it!!!! Wearing platinum will totally ruin you and the blue is so distinctive. I have been offered watches out of the back at random AD’s simply because they wanted to look at my watch.

My platinum Daytona is definitely not too heavy, and I think it's heavier than the day date 40. You'll love the feel on the wrist. If I ever find out they've made a platinum day date with a fluted bezel, I'll be on my way to the AD.

I have a 40DD platinum and it's by far the heaviest watch I own. Nevertheless, you get used to it and again - it's a keeper.

The 36mm is a good buy right now if you can find one and if you get one
with the original glacier blue dial color... THATS the one i LOVE !
Its more of a bluish green and its SOOO arctic looking. lol

Rolex changed that dial to more of a silvery ice blue and now i see the 40mm
has a REALLY lovely ice blue dial. The dial on the OP's watch is AMAZING !

I haven't seen a 40mm in the flesh. The only thing about it that doesn't quite appeal to me is the bezel. its more of a pie pan shape than the 36mm.

STILL.... its a great watch. I hope i can get to see one someday.

I have owned both 36mm Platinum and now the 40. Both super comfortable and the weight empowers your wrists you get very use to the weight. surprisingly without any link adjustment on the president braclet, I have never found it uncomfortable.

The 36 in my opinion looks too small due to the doomed smooth bezel. the 40 is just perfect in my opinion. GO for it.

I have recently acquired one in the same dial with diamonds. I've found it to be heavier than all my watches, but the balance is perfect and very comfortable
