FS: Rolex 1625 'Thunderbird', Jubilee bracelet, 'Sigma dial' from 1974. NICE - $4,995
Letting go of one of my favorite Rolex watches: The 1625 'Thunderbird' or Turn-O-Graph as some prefer to call it - I just call it AWESOME! The 14K/SS case in 36mm hits the 'sweet spot' for me on the wrist. This case is in excellent condition - it has been polished in the past however, the lugs remain strong and are uniform. The solid gold 14K 'Thunderbird' bi-directional bezel is in near mint condition without any nicks. All of the reeds and the numbers are crisp and appear to have never been polished. The champagne 'Sigma' dial with solid gold markers are accentuated with what appears to be onyx inlays. This dial is very uncommon on the 'Thunderbird' from this period. The serial # and case # are clearly marked and clearly legible. Serial # 4,222,XXX - dating to the latter part of 1974. This watch will come with a U.S.A. made 2-tone Jubilee bracelet that is in very good condition and will fit a 7.5 inch wrist. Sale is for the watch only as there are no boxes or papers. Watch currently runs at +5 seconds over a 24 hr. period and it has a very good power reserve of 42 hours. Factory acrylic crystal is free of any scratches and/or nicks.
