It'll be fine, I wrecked my motorcycle wearing my 116613 cutting my hand in half stopping at the watch and the only damage to the watch was a tiny chip in the crystal.

Ive got the 126613lb and it has become my daily. I wear it doing anything and evertything and it still looks brand new. Do it. You wont regret it. Rolex use this watch in lots of promtional material for a reason. Its a classic.

It's a great watch; Oyster bracelets stretch much less than Jubilees. There are less joints to expand. Wear the hell out of it; I'd love to find one myself. Enjoy!!!

I thought that the modern jubilee was as strong as the Oyster hence its use on the SS GMT's?

Unless it's different material the number of joints will directly relate to the amount of stretch. Same materials, more joints means more stretch. Ceramic inserts and metal pins will wear but are easily replaceable. I don't believe Rolex used Jubilee bracelets due to less stretch but as a styling lure.

I had 126613LB for 8 months before selling it.
It’s a great watch and supremely comfortable thanks to glide lock. I’ve used it for a vast array of task, and besides the gold scratching easier than melted butter, it’s a very solid watch. Honestly you can do anything with it, and I wouldn’t worry about getting it a bit “damaged” because it will give it tons of character. Gold just looks better worn out anyhow. |

Took to long for the bluesy so I opted for a 2020 116613LN, still under rolex warranty I bought it for £11,175 it has the 3135 movement so I'm happy..... I'm wearing the crap out of it and I'll be taking it to the rigs offshore

I wore my 5 digit every day for 18 years. Was my one and only all that time. I’m a sailor and it spent significant time in salt water. Frankly I wasn’t aware of babying a Rolex until I joined this forum…
I had it serviced after 18 years of wear only because I wanted to have the gaskets checked/replaced as it is around water a lot! No bracelet stretch. Good luck and enjoy! |

I’ve worn TT subs daily and SS pcl GMTs, I find there isn’t any difference, the stainless centre links will scratch just as much as the gold.
Stretch won’t be an issue if you remove the bracelet every few months and give an ultrasonic bath, ultrasonics are only around £30 and clean inside the bracelet pins |

Wore my 16613 everywhere. Never stretched or got dinged and I didn’t baby it at all. Couldn’t imagine a newer model stretching whatsoever.
