You know you made the right choice of watch if...

....when you scroll through threads in this forum and stop to admire any picture of the watch you already own....

At least that's what it's like for me. I noticed myself doing this, so those WRUW threads are always popular with me!

…I can still enjoy my watch despite the large popularity, seeing them nearly 10 times a day where I live and division of opinions about its shape, size, variations, etc. Still love it. Can’t knock it down for me.

You know you made the right choice of watch if, well surely if you bought any watch it was your right choice in buying it. I know some buy because of the hype on so called social media to wear the hype, but speaking for myself only buy watches I want to wear and enjoy.

Rolex watches today are to many just ££££$$$€€€ objects, once they were saved up for many years to buy, and back then to wear and enjoy daily on the wrist.

...you think about it or miss it when it's not on your wrist because you wear your watches on rotation.

You know you made the wrong choice

When you sell a watch and get upset when you see that watch on other people's wrist!

To me it's when I feel like I'm wearing it for the first time day after day after day.

Despite those who stoically declare they only buy for themselves, are immune to the hype, it’s nice to see your own watch admired by others, on display as a fine reference. We all like a little validation.

You know you made the right choice of watch if you want to buy another one with different material, face, bezel, bracelet.

You know you made the right choice if the other watches in the "rotation" literally have dust on them two years later

Did you just quote Padi to himself?

OP - it seems you are getting some negative responses to this for whatever reason, but I completely agree with your sentiment. In my experience, if you still look at something with admiration even after owning it, that really signals you love it. If it was just the thrill of the hunt, on the other hand, then once you get your own the luster fades quickly. I don't think these feelings in any way suggest you only bought something because other people like it. Seems like an asinine point for anybody to make on watch forum that is all about us enjoying each other's pieces.

I like looking at good pictures of all of them, but if I see one of my models I tend to sit back and admire it for a second or three. I can't stop looking at any picture of some models. I'll even watch a video with the volume muted, if it's good quality and contains footage of the watch, not the speaker. It's nice when the novelty hasn't worn off after years.

Thank you!

It was really nice to see all the different responses, they're much appreciated!

Oh I got it. I was 95% just pointing it out so everyone else could savor the flavor. And 5% making sure padi hadn't created a bot to repost all his greatest hits. Glad you turned out to be human.
