Rootbeer GMT on Rubber?

For me personally, it doesn’t work. The beauty of this watch rests so much on how the beauty of the bezel is enhanced by the hues of the bracelet.

Would love to see the CHNR on a jubilee bracelet though. That would be all the comfort needed for the summer and a stunner.

It looks like an Everest but I didn’t want to assume.

I agree. That would look very very nice.

The black strap jives with the black dial- I'd like to see a CHNR with this.

Few months ago when I asked the forum for the same exact thing (RG case on rubber strap), the responses were very similar. Especially the "why buy RG watch just to take off the RG bracelet" comments came up couple of times.

Personally, I like the combo - it is obviously accepted combination for non-Rolex watches: AP ROO and RO family, PP Aquanaut, VC Overseas, Blancpain Fifty (in sailcloth), Omega SMP and others

Just because Rolex came late to the game with Oysterflex (mainly why Everest and Rubber B came to existence IMO) - I really think RG and rubber strap is an awesome combo and less bling compared to the full RG bracelet.

I put my YG Sub on a black Everest strap. Very comfy, sharp contrast look. I preserve the bracelet this way, and of course I can switch it back whenever I feel like it. Now if someone sold the bracelet, I'd say that was a big mistake.

I like the leather shown better than the rubber, but I would give them both a try on my TT for a change once in a while.

Why? Such a downgrade and sorry but not nice looking. Looks like your saving up money for the bracelet.

I love this but I think I prefer that on a leather.

I like the rubber strap as an alternative.

I think it looks really good, actually. I could totally see doing that for the summer months and switching back to the full gold bracelet for the cooler months.

Not my cup of tea but I don't mind seeing a mix up every now and then. Options are always good imo.

I really want to give this a try on my 126711. Imo it would look even smoother with proper end links too, either full SS or RG end links. Don’t this there is any TT ones? Anyone know if there is a way to get just the end links? Or do you need to source a full oysterflex to get the end links?

Cheers

I like it. Still like the original oyster band better but I like the idea of versatility.

How about leather?

I like it. The only problem I have with using the Rolex clasp is that the band has to taper down and doesn't command the presence of a nice thick strap that is 20mm straight though. The OF rubber is OK as it is padded underneath that gives it a tougher stance. For my Daytona straps I've now opted for aftermarket deployant for this reason.

I love it when someone asks an opinion then goes into defence mode when someone disagrees.

That’s a very special piece. Much Prefer it on the bracelet. On the rubber it looks like just another Omega Seamaster.
