Hi all,

Do you know what battery a Rolex OQ takes ?

Do the DJ and DD take the same battery ?

Thanks Eddie,

I’m just checking if the batteries are still easily available as I’m thinking of doing a little “Shopping” today.

These batteries are super easy to get. Very popular battery.

That’s one worry out of my way.

If I get Rolex to do the battery changes how long do they take every time (2 year intervals ?).

What do they charge ?

Charles, buy and use a Sea-Dweller for diving.
Or, the new dive watch launched soon: the stunning SEA-FROG

The OQ is also waterproof so it’s fine for doing the dishes.

Diving at the moment is not on the cards …….. I have to wait a few more months before that trip and then I have no idea what my backup watch will be.

I am excited now …..
I will not choose a watch until I know more about the Sea-Frog

Is it going to be released soon ? Is this going to be a very professional watch for experts only ?

Caliber 5035 and 5055 Battery Change

The attached pages from the Caliber 5035 and 5055 Rolex Technical Information show how to change the battery and check battery voltage post-installation.

It's weird being the same age as old people.

An AD can do it on the spot along with rsc but it could also require a full few days if they’re backed up.

The battery should last 18months minimum.

If you get it done at an independent, ensure a pressure test and that they don’t damage the battery pod and + connector. Some bend them and that’s a no no.

Good luck.
