Could be an after marked crystal, but even then the date mag is non existent even with acrylic there is usually some magnification, I think the seller needs to post some more picks showing lug end numbers and clasp numbers even the model and a few characters of the serial so a year can be ascertained.

I find your writing style hard to read...so I'm just guessing, are you serious? The magnification is incorrect, so it could be a fake watch or aftermarket crystal with poor magnification. The pictures are not very good either, so, if you emailed me and said "Springer" check out this watch for me....I'd say forget it, it looks more fake than real, there are better watches to be found out there. Since I can't really judge that watch from the pictures, I would error on the side of caution. Would you, or anyone here purchase that Rolex from the pictures? Maybe, but hopefully not. Hopefully, this info saved someone from a "deal" they might not have bargained for. Newbies here on TRF purchase counterfeits or altered Rolexes all the time and sometimes they show up here - after the purchase - and have their purchase identified as fake or altered or non-original to the watch. But, that's why we post here, to level the playing field for the honest, sincere buyers that sometimes can't tell the difference between genuine, fake or altered, and seek out the advice of others here on the forum. The watch identified here, by its description, the seller's feedback, the poor photos and the dial/date question indicate from my experience that the watch should be avoided. Hopefully this info will keep someone from getting a "deal" that they hadn't bargained for.

Thats how I got here John...by the way I did write the chick in New Orleans about lifting your curse, but she had moved with no forwarding address...I really wouldn't worry, but if your hat size starts to shrink and you didn't get a haircut...seek medical help immediately...and truly thanks for all your help, understanding and advice.

I admit the auction is poor , the description is poor, - but they also make a conversion kit, from acrylic to (aftermarket wannabe sapphire) I see it on older datejusts all the time, considering the dial and the hour markers -this isnt a new style watch. I appologise about my poorly written post, it was done fast between customers at work. But Insulting my poor grammar, doesnt really add to the fact that someone seems to have made a huge *BOLD CALL* on very little evidence. It seems people have the time to get puzzled and confused on my poorly written sentence, but spent less time on the evaluation of the watch. I just want to learn more, your post of wanting to protect TRF members is useless with out presenting the *WHY* to your newly found claims. The only thing you see is an aftermarket crystal, is that correct? is there anything else?????????? Or is every Seller with new, or litte history posting counterfeit rolexes? I don't have any affiliation with this seller, I have never seen this auction before but on here, but most of the time you get someone firing from the hip, and others chime in without ever presenting the *WHY!* If protection and education is your goal, wouldn't that be a no brain to include? Please don't think I am coming off hostile its just sounds petty to even comment on my hard to read one liner, its "straining at the Gnat" And I am Glad well all agree and established the Date magnification is suspect. Thank you in advance
RD And as far as the cheerleading posts on the thread, why even bother? |

The typical protocol here is to identify why something is not correct or fake. A picture always helps. Since you "were serious" my mistake, and apology. I wasn't quite sure how to read your post but hope my explanation helped you out. Hang out and enjoy - there is much to be learned on the forum. (former PS resident myself - Palm Desert)

WOW John! I am also a former Palm Desert resident when I was a counselor at The Betty Ford Center. Small world. I don't remember the Palm Springs Vault but, I lived there so many years ago, I am probably a fossil compared to the owner of the store there.
