Nasty fake

Vietnamese (labour intensive) fake.

Things don't match up

Serial and model (was this model ever produced by Geneva)
Brevettee in the watch , registerered design on the case

Absolute fraud in my opinion

Seller: shawspire (161Feedback score is 100 to 499) PowerSeller

I don't personally have any documentation on this era watch, the serial places manufacture around 1949-1950.

We might need some advice from Springer, Orchi, Terry and Stan on this one.

No way this case is vintage. It looks brand new. This is a Frankenwatch.

Interestingly the markings on the inside of the rear cover are correct.

Looks too new, but all the lettering is per the book.

Must be a new production line in China making these to near exact specs.

...my humble op would be...

...POSER, with case (and possibly EVERYTHING) from our famed COUNTERFEIT factory.

...I am with Terry on this one-just TOOOOOOOOOO mint. It could have been in somebody's sock drawer...?
