TLDR. It's the whole community I've gotten jaded from. I have one Rolex and that's that. Enjoy your watch.

Hell no, nothing wears like a Rolex period. I like the watches and am not one to settle.

There is no 2 watch per customer rule. That doesn’t exist. The AD simply doesn’t trust your friends intentions anymore. Why should they, he’s buying the same watches multiple times. Also, when you “give watches to friends” they sell them.

Your argument is unconvincing. I will buy whatever I please and can afford.

Afraid I can't share my shit AD experiences because I haven't had any. They've all been good.

I applaud the boycott. Anybody so obviously offended would be a fool to throw more money in that direction. But I would recommend trying a few more ADs. "Rolex policy" (whatever it is and assuming it actually exists) can vary quite a bit depending on which AD is quoting it. I expect it also varies by customer for a given AD. Nevertheless, one less person queuing may not be much but it's a start for those of who will remain.

Congratulations on that Omega. Not a favourite of mine but impressive none the less. You like it, and that's all that matters. I wish you big fun with it and your future collecting.

I read it and it seems like your friend got caught as a "possible" flipper, whether he was giving the watches away or taking any money for them or not.

But what do I know?? I have been wrong on a lot of things in my life, this could easily be one of them.

boycott?

but you're keeping the d-blue?

and when you flipped your SkyD...did you sell it at MSRP or did you profit from selling at higher price?

a bit hypocritical IMHO

but hey if you want to boycott Rolex and buy other brands, your money, your prerogative. knock yourself out :)

I don't see this as Rolex's fault. They, along with some other manufacturers like Patek and AP, can't keep up with the overwhelming demand for sports watches since the demand for such pieces ballooned over the past couple of years. It is not easy ramping up production with specialised machine, human resources and site limitations, at will. Even if Rolex manages to increase production by 20%, it will still not be enough to meet the crazy demand. It is really up to their AD how they allocate watches to their customers.

Very attractive Omega. Enjoy it. Rolex buyers are forced to migrate to other brands.

I love how is has “ORIGINAL” on the dial… it’s a nice and ironic touch.

I can’t get a response from my favorite AD about getting a Root Beer. I had to take matters into my own hands.

That Omega has a neat design but is way too thick for me.

Good luck with your boycott.

I’m lucky in that I’ve enjoyed 20 years of nice experiences with my local ADs. Good luck with your boycott.

Please, sign as many prospective Rolex buyers onto your boycott as you can. Maybe you can make it to where there’s inventory in the cases and the MSRP is lowered as well.

Wouldn’t hurt my feelings at all. More watches for me!

OP and folks like OP's friend who bought so many Rolex watches never 'got' it, what's the Rolex brand is about. Just fedup with these knee-jerk silly reaction posts. That Bruce YouTube video is hilarious as well. He hardly understands Rolex as a brand. Why don't these folks just keep their useless opinions to themselves.

If enough people boycott Rolex, then maybe I’ll be able to get the watches I want.
