Future Rolex Model that will be sought after

So right now, we all know what the hot / sought after models are. What do you guys think will be the future sought after models that are underrated today?

Seems like everything is sought after right now but GMT, Sub and Daytona will always be the most popular in my opinion.

Haven't been into Rolex watches for as long as some people here. Were GMT, Sub, Daytonas always the most sought after?

Also commonly phrased as…
  • Which models will go up in value the most?
  • Which models make the best investment?
  • Which models hold their value (if I suddenly need to sell because I can’t afford this watch in the first place)?
#sigh

Watches aren't an investment and I buy them for my own joy. I do love to speculate about how current models will be viewed in the future and there's nothing wrong with that. Lighten up and try enjoying dialogue once in a while.

Thanks. Bored at work and reading/engaging with the forums usually helps time go faster.

People have been saying that for years, ever since it was discontinued. Still hasn't really taken off and probably never will.

Since it was discontinued, it is now only available at double what its MSRP was. It's definitely taken off. Its trajectory continues upward year on, year out.

I honestly have an idea but I can't bring myself to feeding the frenzy. Some things are best left alone. Every time we've done these it hits the fan for those models

For the last 30 years, I think they have been. Most non-WIS bought Date-Justs, but the WIS crowd appreciated the history of tool watches. Just my personal opinion.

If the DSSD D-Blue were to be discontinued I wouldn’t be surprised if prices doubled but it’s all just speculation.

We're good at picking winners and losers. We should crystal ball talk more about root vegetables and tires.

Perhaps, if it wasn’t 15 mm thick (for good reasons, admittedly, but how many of us need that?)

Cellini.

When everyone gets fed up of the staple GMT’s, Sub’s, Explorers and their watch tastes evolve, more people will appreciate them for how nice they really are.

It wears a lot better than most Rolex watches. Have you ever worn one?

I can see this — Aside from “not an investment,” one issue with the many similar threads may have been the percentage of answers which boiled down to “Mine!”

(Perhaps “Which model that you do not own will be … “ would provide somewhat more objective opinions?)

Why do you think people are not honest?

You are asking text on a screen to guess the answer to your question. What kind of answer are you looking for ?
