Crown Does Not "POP" Out!

Saw another member mention this, but the same thing happens with my watch. Have a GMTIIC and when I unscrew the crown, it does not pop out. Instead, after I unscrew it, I have to turn it slightly clockwise and THEN it pops out.

Normal or a problem?

Normal on all my modern pieces.

This is a Republican timepiece as you are having to turn it to the right in order for it to pop!

Totally normal!

Both my Y serial 16610 and my M serial 116710 do that, so I'm guessing it's normal

A safety feature to serve as a double lock in case
1) You mistakenly twist it under water
2) the young son gets hold of it.
