Oyster Bracelet 73208 - Number of Links

Hello All,

I’m working on buying my 1st Rolex. I’ve narrowed down to a YG Day-Date with an oyster bracelet and smooth bezel (Ref 118208).

I’ll try to buy new or mint (full-set) on the grey market. I’m having trouble determining whether the 73208 has all of it’s links in the pictures.

I’ve seen:
1) 13 full links (2 adjustable) and 4 half links (2 adjustable) = 17 links
2) 12 full links (2 adjustable) and 4 half links (2 adjustable).= 16 links

I found a new 2010 118208 CSO (champagne, stick, oyster) with 17 links
I found a new 2021 118208 BDO (black, diamond, oyster) with just 16 links.

Are both of them factory original?

I’ve quite a bit of searching on google, but nothing other than some general forum posts that confirm most oyster bracelets have 13 full links and 4 half links.

Should I distrust the seller with the 118208-BDO?. The watch is on Chrono24 at a reasonable price.

Thx
Kathy
