The man loves the daytona! I don't see anything wrong with that. Especially with the variability you can find within the line. White gold, yellow gold, rose gold, steel, blue dials, green dials, white dials, oysterflex... they've got those whacky pastel colour ones. Old daytona's, zenith daytona's... I mean the options seem endless!
There are guys who only collect black steel submariners of different vintages. I think a daytona collection is perfectly reasonable. |

I think it’s great that the OP appears to have purchased the exact type of watches he likes. Far better that than buying watches you are not so keen on in an attempt to get a variety of watches just to say you have some sort of “balanced collection”. Buying watches is meant to bring you enjoyment. Each to their own I say |

then why would they even bother advertising on billboards and sponsoring sporting events, etc? And besides, wasn't rolex a more obtainable luxury brand for the masses at one point in history? The problem is the executives love the idea of becoming even more elitist and taking the brand with them. May be a short term winning strategy but we'll see in 10/15 years. Don't get me wrong, I love the watches, but with the majority of earth not even getting to go to a nearby location and see them, they seem to lose cache. Not one of my friends has a clue when i'm wearing my blue AP. As an aside, i'm not being bitter. i have a blue royal oak from a boutique, a white daytona, a pepsi, blah blah blah but i don't see the point of showing people a picture of a watch that everyone else has everytime i get one. The result is either "gorgeous watch" or "she's a beauty" stamp and repeat with what purpose for the OP? |

Beautiful collection! Love the lean towards Nautilus and Daytona.
