Wait time for replacement oysterflex?
I picked up a new Daytona OF and my wrist (8 1/4”) is way too big for the standard strap length. AD telling me 2 weeks plus and I’m annoyed . Finally got my dream watch and it’s been in a watch roll for two weeks.
Is this a typical lead time? Seems crazy they can’t source them faster. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

It took 6 weeks to get a bracelet link for my explorer. I would expect the same for your OF.

Bigger dealers “should” have an assortment in stock. If there’s another dealer in town you might ask there.

I hope they are extra careful when they change the strap.

Replacement OF straps took 6 weeks for me to receive from my AD. They do take a while to travel from RSC to the AD.
As another member has stated, make sure they are careful changing the strap otherwise the lugs will be scratched upon return.

I am assuming that the day you bought this from the AD they sized your wrist and ordered the correct OF straps for you. It takes time to get anything from Rolex, but you will get it.

Correct. Maybe naïveté by me but I thought they would be more readily available. Should have known given how long it took to get the watch itself…. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

But if it’s a small AD, please please please don’t let them change the strap. Better to make the trip into any, get the strap from RSC and have them do it. Search for threads on damaged lugs and you’ll see what I mean. |

Two weeks is nothing for Rolex. My AD stocks some, not sure how many sizes, but at least in my size they seem to have them. Nice watch btw.

go to the RSC in NYC, you can trade in your existing strap for the correct size, without a charge, assuming it's brand new and unworn. oddly enough, their "technicians" can tell a used OF from a new one, which is odd because it's just rubber... you wash it, it looks brand new...
