Nope, edges lift up, all kinds of abrasive crap gets underneath. Wear your watch, don’t let the watch wear you.

seems you would be a good candidate for bubble wrap.........exactly how a watch should be protected and worn

I think eventually you may get edges peeling up and collect a lot of gunk underneath, not to mention the adhesive may be tough to remove. Probably not worth it in my opinion but your watch your choice, whatever you prefer!

There were some fitted to an Explorer II I bought. While the watch was undeniably in great condition, the stickers are so obvious I removed them. I think if you are the kind of person that gets a car wrapped in clear film, puts covers on furniture, etc, then applying stickers to your watch might be acceptable.

Yes, if you want to protect your watch get it. They work very well. There is this snobbery that if you aren't willing to accept scratches you are not worth it. "car bra", "bubble wrap", etc. Of course, every one of these naysayers probably has a protective case for their smartphone. Well, that's okay- do as they say.... they obviously have strong opinions on what you do with your watch. Just be glad you don't go to church with these people as I'm sure they would be just as happy to tell you what you can and cannot do with your own life, let alone a watch.

If you want it to stay pristine you're better off leaving it in your safe

protective stickers

I’ve had it on for a year and like it - and have worn it daily and while scuba diving.

I don’t like my stuff getting scratched up and also have Xpel on my cars and have a case/screen protector for my phone.

Pic 1 is one month in, pic 2 is now.

You’ll find a lot of people here tend to look at beating up watches as a source of pride.

I personally am not that wealthy and want my watches looking good as long as I can.

I tried the one for AP but it took away from the brushed finish so didn’t keep it on.

To each his own.

It’s called Styx, it was like 100 bucks. Their margin must be insane.

I’m sure they’re all kind of the same though.

I messed up application the first time and they sent me a new set fee. I put it on the clasp and sides. Nothing with a brushed finish though.

No thank you. Makes a wonderful watch look like a cheap swatch. “Wealth” has nothing to do with it either and a horrible excuse to put ugly plastic on your $12k+ watch. Wear it and every 10-12 years send it away. Back as good as new, rinse and repeat. Isn’t that expensive, about $.15 a day.

May I suggest not wearing the watch altogether?

Get a finishing block from bergeon. Fine grit. A gentle touch will make that clasp look like new whenever you like.

If it brings you piece of mind, it might be worth it. I think the general consensus is going to be no stickers. I find it very strange, but you do your thing.

The stickers offered on ebay etc are a total expensive scam. 5 minutes with some matte (not the shiny stuff) 3m sticky tape and a pair of scissors will have you making this clasp protector yourself. It’s literally that easy. The 3m matte sticks well, leave no residue and is designed to be removed afterwards with no glue leftover.

I admit to having done the same on a watch once. I wasn’t sure about keeping it (I ditched it in the end) while I wore it for a week or two to decide if I could gel with it (I didn’t).

Ok 6 minutes to make one if you’re not an old blue peter viewer

It might be good idea to have the protective film on areas that likely to be scratched such as the clasp. Its your watch so you decide.
