Panerai GTG Beverly Hills style....(modem burner)

...went away this past weekend to Vegas, but being the watch dork that I am, I flew to LA Saturday to GTG with a bunch of Paneristi for lunch, some time in the Boutique and more watch browsing around Rodeo drive. All I bought was a watch strap for Andie so she can wear one of the Pannies. She has been wearing one of the 3 since Saturday night. I am now on the hunt for a 40mm one for her for Christmas.

Here is a photo journal of my trip:

My newest, 118 with tobacco dial.

Some of the watches there

A true holy grail, PAM 203 with Angelus 8 day movement, limited to 150 pieces.

PAM 21, PLT with original Rolex movement inside. Same owner as the 203, HOLY COIN BATMAN!!!

Some Rolex love, this watch looks so good on the wrist!!

Table shot..

Chad, the boutique manager donated this OEM 6 watch box as a giveaway. Retail price, 1000 euros. I picked the winner, it wasn't me.

Flying home

Thanks bro, it was fun!! I just set myself back about 4 months on my next watch purchase though. If anyone is in Vegas, keep your eye out for a cash roll, mine seemed to get lost out there somewhere.

Looks like a great time daren with some great watch porn. Thanks for the pics.

Now I have a serious question; With the exception of the tobacco dial, the 118 to me anyway looks identical to the 111. Could please explain the other differences if any to me? Thanks

The 118 is a Marina. same as the 111. Both have an expo back and the swan necks on the movement. The difference is the tobacco dial is discontinued and that makes them rare and sought after.

Looks like it was a great GTG, Daren. Lot of fine looking pieces there. Hope you had a well armed security guard around with all that heavy metal on the table.

So how does everyone keep track of there own watches at these GTG? I would be hard pressed to remember my S/N's.

Cool pics, Daren - you sure had a great time with the other Paneristi! It's very tempting when you go to one of those events, isn't it!

Tempting? You said it right pal. Between Guille's preA 2, Anthony's 21 and 203 and Jim's 98 my head was spinning.

Daren, you can't flip the kids for a watch, no matter how tempting.
