Diamond bezel on everose president?

Just joined the forum looking for a rose day date and was fortunate enough to find one in the age and price I liked. Hopefully I'll have it by next Wednesday and I'm really looking forward to it! Only thing which is not necessarily a bad thing is the one that i bought is a 118205. I prefer the fluted bezel but like the smooth ok. I kinda thought the best way to fix that would be with a nice diamond bezel? Just curious about opinions on that and also if i pull the trigger on one do i get a nice channel set with round stones or princess cut? I've had a nice datejust before with princess cut stones and really liked it but the president with no diamonds at all is one fine watch!

this forum is pretty anti diamonds (i'm generally a fan) but personally i wouldn't put aftermarket diamonds on mine. imo i would just take the extra time to find a fluted bezel, unless you already bought it

I’m not opposed to diamonds but would not put on anything aftermarket.

Yes I have already bought it and it's not that I hate the smooth bezel... I just like the fluted better. That's the only thing about buying a preowned in my price range is that most likely I would never find exactly what I want as I would have to buy new. I'm so excited it might as well be new!

"it's not that I hate the smooth bezel... I just like the fluted better."

Oy vey.....not good.

Welcome! I'm not sure why you bought smooth if you prefer fluted. Because in the end you will end up with a fluted watch someday, but it will just cost you more money because you had to go through a smooth bezel first. Its just generally better to buy what you like at the beginning. And if you don't have the money for it, then just what more time and save more money. Many here will speak from experience that they didn't buy what they really wanted due to price and then it cost them more money in the long run as they acquired that piece down the road anyway.

That said, here we are (unless returning the smooth bezel is an option). The aftermarket diamonds will be pricey and may devalue the watch--which matters to you because you will want to sell it eventually and buy a fluted bezel. SO, jsut enjoy your watch and give yourself a little time to bond to the smooth. I'm actually a fan of the smooth bezel. It has an understated elegance, while the fluted looks more opulent. Even when the smooth gets some scratches, just love the scratches. Enjoy!

you'd definitely find what you're looking for, its just not gonna take a few days. i would say a few months would get you your ideal config

Man I'd just wear it. It'll be awesome - Smooth, fluted whatever. Anything except putting aftermarket diamonds on it.

I was on the fence about the diamond bezel but I believe I will hold off on that for the time being. The whole reason I wanted the everose is because it is different from everything that you normally see around here. A lot of people seem not to like it but I do and the smooth bezel is pretty much the same situation. Pretty much all I see is the fluted so this will be different also which is the whole reason I bought the rose gold anyway! Thanks for everybody's thoughts and opinions!

Got my 118205 in and really liking it including the smooth bezel that I had questioned myself about before! Tried to load a couple of pictures but says file too big so I'll continue to play with it and see if I can figure it out! Thanks again for everybody's help and suggestions.

Correct me if I'm wrong but the only bezel options other than platinum are fluted or diamond. I'd be ready to get a refund. Fake!

Don’t think it would de-value as the aftermarket bezel can be swap back easily, just save the smooth bezel
