Daytona quantities received by the AD
I'm sure this has been covered before but it would be nice to hear some up to date theories on this.
There's an AD near me that's said they receive at least two SS Daytona's per month. Just wondering if anyone can chime in on how many SS Daytona's their local AD might be receiving per month or per year? Also I've heard the amount they receive can increase around xmas? |

Over 1,000 ADs globally. Each one is different. Bucherer in NYC gets way more than a small AD in Romania. Some ADs may get two per month; some may get two per year.

When I asked for my black dial Daytona in February of 2019 my SA told me I was 13th in line. He also told me they got at least one of each color each month and in most years got some bonus pieces for the holidays. I know many folks here don’t believe there are lists but I got updates as to how I was moving up. I do accept that some clients can and do bypass the list.
The last week of October he told me I was next and it came in the third Thursday of November. He told me they got a total of 30 that year. I have not asked since because I have mine, I’m sure there was less in 2020 due to the factory shutdown but I bet 2021 has been back to their normal supply. |

My AD claims to get two, maybe three subs per year which I’m not sure I totally buy. I would not be surprised though if they got one SS Daytona per year. The market I live in though is very very small

They all get their fair share .
Allocation per year . What they receive for a specific month allocation they only know a few days before .It varies from month to month . |

I Believe my AD , he is a independent and I have used him for 30 years , He said back before 2000 when it was the Zenith Daytona , Sometimes one but never more than two in a calendar year. since Rolex supplied there own 4130 Mvmt he receives on average four a year . He can request a extra for a special occasion / Client but would never abuse the privilege. With ref a Platinum Daytona one a year . |

Sorry are we talking Daytonas in General ? Or specifically Stainless Steel models ?
I can believe two Daytonas a month or 24 in a year . But struggle to accept two Stainless Steel . I understand like the giant boutique in Dubai maybe but if we are talking in general |

I am only repeating what I was told and after starting my Journey with them in March 1993 , we don’t need to BS one another, I trust my AD why would he tell me four a year and if the need arises he could request one for a wedding Anniversary present or special birthday etc. I was told this about five years ago and things may have changed . If he told me that at the time ,it will be fact .

This is all hearsay and from over a year ago. No scientific facts here but OP asked for “my ad said” gossip so here goes:
The AD where I got both told me they get 8 black/2 white per year. My new AD tells me they get about 4 of each per year. An out of state AD tells me about 4 total per year. My local mayors doesn’t talk to clients anymore so who knows what they get lol. |

My AD has confirmed they get 1-2 per year, if they are lucky. I have no reason to disbelieve them. That could be why it took 4.5 years to get mine :)

I’d suspect a lot of AD’s downplay the amount they receive to not entice or get the hopes up of their clients since the waiting list is so long.

My AD told me he knows exactly how many of each watch he’ll receive. End of year the engage in discussions with the mothership about their needs, and Rolex comes back with what they will get throughout the year. It is possible that some variation will occur, but my AD was very clear. They know what comes and when.

Its is clear from the comments on this thread that between us we haven't got a clue what the allocation is per store per month per year per whatever.
Fact, Rolex will control who gets what, if your AD is part of a big chain then the HO will determine which stores get which watches, if you have a good rapport with the store/group you may be able to get that special watch for that special occasion but you'll be fighting against every other 'special' request. If your AD is a small chain or independent then those who have a good relationship with the guys in the stores may possibly have a more accurate line on when they will get a watch, they may also be more able to get something for that 'special' occasion. The difficulty with a small independent store is getting your foot in the door in the first place, thinking about it this probably applies everywhere. Let's be honest, we don't know what the AD gets, we can have an educated guess and in one or two cases a fairly accurate guess, but which one of us has that inside knowledge, we all think we do, but do we.........? My AD reckons I can have a Daytona, it will be a while 3-4 years but I can have one, the normal response to the question is the wait list is closed due to so many people on it those at the back will be waiting around 10 years or more.

I’ve heard numerous accounts of ADs getting anywhere from 2 per year to 24 per year. I would wager this is a realistic range with the caveat that I suspect it’s possible the 2-per-year crowd is blowing smoke.

I spoke to 2 ADs where I have a good relationship. They told me same as many here, about 2 per month on average. This also correlates with what a SA said on reddit recently during an AMA.
