BNIB Rolex
Hey guys Ive been reading posting and really enjoying this forum. My main reason for joining was to find a good deal on a Gmt Master. Quick question if anyone can answer. Im sure that the guys selling on the classified page for the most part are legit, but where do they get all these brand new in the box Rolexes for sale over and over again. Guess Im just a little worried and want some reassurance. Thanks for your help Rolexers.

There are many that simply just buy a lot of watches and then turn around and flip them. Because they buy so many watches they can impose on the store and get deals that many people just walking in wouldn't get so they can afford to turn around and sell especially when the more rare pieces come along.
If you find something you like just stick their user name in the search and look in the watchout or whos who in the classifieds to see seller feedback or across the whole forum to get a general feel on who they are very quickly.

From the way it's been explained to m these generally get sold from an AD at an obviously lower profit margin, but they buy so many that the AD gets to move inventory which Rolex makes them take whether they need it or not.

All these BNIB Rolexes originate from an AD.. If you are looking for a good deal on a GMT you won't find a better deal than on the TRF sales forum..... Best DavidSW |

Thanks for the reply David. So what your saying is that some of the people selling on this forum are actually ADs moving to the grey side to move inventory? You are one of the sellers that has had some really good looking buys lately. If my Doxa ever sells, maybe we can do business. I dont want to change the thread but does anyone know what the retail mark up is

The number thrown around is about 40%. Good luck getting that confirmed anywhere.

Somthing like that..like what everyone is saying "buy the sller not the watch" and you will be fine what ever watch you buy...some people here have more pre owned inventory than new ones..and vice versa..ask people around here that's been here for awhile and active ask the mods too and they will lead you to the right person..-oscar

I've only been hanging in this forum for a few weeks (it is addictive, btw) but I've gotten two impressions, strongly: 1) there is a very low weasel-to-member ratio in these parts, and 2) the mods weed out the weasels, quickly.
Follow the rules, call 'em as you see 'em, and ask around. Can't imagine you'll go far wrong. |

I am not a seller, just a fan of Rolex. But I can tell you there are some VERY reputable sellers on this site. In fact, one or two have already responded to your thread.
