I’m unsure I’d change your collection in the way you plan. However, I do understand that sometimes we think that we’re a multi watch guy, only to discover that in the end we’re quite happy with just one or two watches. If that’s the sentiment you’re going through, I can relate and consolidating down to a couple of pieces makes complete sense.

On the flipside, if this is an experiment to see how you feel and you’ve never consolidated before, then be careful what you wish for. Unload the watches that are easier to replace or less historical. It opens a whole can of worms, because we haven’t even considered which watches have sentimental value (if any?) and as such are representative of a time in your life, relationships or other meaningful memories.

It’s tough to get third party feedback when all these aspects could be in play.

Just my 2 cents.

Second take - don’t sell the SS Daytona since it’s an entirely different wearer to the OF. I’d ditch the Exp II. I wouldn’t sell the 5 digit GMT unless you’ve gone cold on the GMTs completely. Why not give the OF a shot by fitting one to your current Daytona with the end links (Etsy has them) to see how you feel wearing a OF? The visual and comfort test would be easily achieved for a few hundred bucks, and later if you love it, put the Daytona back on its bracelet and jump headfirst into the PM OF?

Why not part with the explorer II and the GMT? Seems like an option that may not have been raised. Perhaps I missed it

Keep all if you can but I would sell in order exp1, exp2, 5dig GMT, Batman, hulk, SS daytona

Why get the diamond dial rather than steel?

Thank you, didn't know about Etsy and the end links. May give that a try.

Diamond dial is the one I could get within a reasonable time frame and would replace steel Daytona with black dial (if I sold it). If I decide to keep it, I'd probably go with the WG Daytona steel dial. I do like them both.

Hasn't been raised here yet but would require additional funding. I was currently only planning on an even trade or coming out slightly on top. Steel Daytona and Explorer 2 would make most sense financially because they gained the most since I got them. I have about 23k in them combined. But so far, the majority vote is "keep the steel Daytona"

Something to think about. Would drastically reduce the cash outlay and let you keep the best of what you have IMHO.

No right and wrong here, you’ll know what’s best for you

Contrarian opinion, but I'd sell the 116520 + the 16710. I think you'll find the black dial 116520 superfluous once you have a ceramic OF black black dial, which IMO looks way better.
