Recommended tools/parts for swapping bands - 14060m
Soon to be the new owner of my first Rolex, a Submariner 14060m. I'm interested in swapping out the band on occasion, and could use some pointers on what equipment I should have on hand.
I read on this forum it uses 20mm x 2mm "shoulderless" spring bars. Figured I'd want an extra pair on hand. Any recommendations (or warnings) as to which I should get or avoid (yay fleabay!) as well as what tool(s) I should keep on hand? There are a variety of tools and sets on Amazon. I will not ever be opening the case, only swapping bands. Thanks! |

Toothpick is handy for the Sub bracelet removal since it has holes in the case to press in the spring bar. Your Dealer should be able to come up with a pair of spares, or you could try one of the on line sources such as Otto Frei in Oakland CA.
Hers is a DIY, although it shows an SEL initially, which you cannot put on the Sub, later in the example I do show installing a bracelet back onto a 14060. https://www.rolexforums.com/showthread.php?t=111743
