This distributes any weight over a larger area than a semi-domed case back like a Sub, DD, or GMT. I have learned that regardless how good a watch looks, if it’s not super comfortable, it won’t get as much wrist time.

I couldn’t agree more. The comfort of the 116500 is one of its best qualities. Although it’s only a few mm thinner than other 6 digit Rolex, these few mm and the lack of cyclops makes, it feel noticeably thinner. My first impression when I put it on was that it felt very small (I’d been wearing a 116710 and 116718 at the time). That small feeling leads to comfort day in and day out.

Most of the time I wear mine on oysterflex now which is even more comfortable than metal bracelet.

It’s a fantastic piece in any configuration. It’s truly become my favorite watch I’ve ever owned. I cannot say enough great things about it
