Spent that 10k on Rolex? No.
Spent that 10k on jewelry? Probably still no, but maybe

If you have no purchase history this is too much watch to ask for. Try a plain Sub or datejust for your first watch.

I went to a AD with no purchase history and asked for a YG day date with Champaign dial and they did not even ask for my name or contact info.

Relationships go a long way in my experience, despite what some people on this board might say to the contrary. At the end of the day, the SA has to want to sell it to you ahead of their many other clients.

Sounds very similar to my experiences. Relationships do go a long way, especially for the customer that only buys one Rolex every few years. VIPs are a different story.

I had to request mine (light blue crossed dial) with a reasonable previous purchase history and it took 8 months.

Have you been hiding under a rock for the last 2-3 years?

EVERY model Rolex thats a mans Model is hot. EVERY single damn model. Even the Cellini's these days have gone up in price.

Of course is you want to wear a 28mm or 31mm DJ - you can probably buy one of those within a couple days. LOL

Where can I buy a 126710BLRO in Canada?

Spend history

Spend history

Spend history

Being friendly and humble doesn’t hurt

Spend history

Oh and spend history

= BLRO in 8 months (at least in NYC, but would imagine any large metropolitan city would be the same)

This. I see so many wanting to 'buy' a relationship. AD's are not fools they just look at people spending all kind of $$ on crap they really don't want TO GET a Rolex as fools........

The ones with 'real' relationships built up over years always get the piece they want @ MSRP...maybe not in a week...maybe not in a month.....but they get it.....

Sad to say but if one wants to build a 'real' relationship with an AD it takes years not $$$

I don’t think this would be helpful and it doesn’t quite work this way. I don’t really want to toss his name out just so he can get yet another call asking for the same watch from someone. There is nothing magical about my particular SA, we just get along and have shared interests.

If you’re willing to put in the effort you need to visit your local ADs, express interest, and build a relationship with someone you click with. There are really no shortcuts if you do not have tens of thousands to drop on other pieces. I am unable to get hot references for friends, for example.

Some people can build an instant connection/relationship with nearly anyone. We have all seen these people, it takes some degree of charisma. If you do not have this personality then it may be quite easy for someone to see your real intentions and it may never be in the cards for you unfortunately.

Good luck with your search.
