Yellow gold sub….16618 to be more accurate. Sadly with the price hysteria it is out of my range now. 1.5 years ago it would have fell within budget. Maybe in 2 yrs I can catch a fire sale.

WG daytona

I think the white gold daytona would be the best one for me.

Been through several gold pieces, finally settled with a Platinum DD40.

However do do like the idea of having a RG DD in the collection, don't know how much wrist time it would actually get.

I used to think it would be one of the sport watches, like a GMT or a Sub.

But for me, I’ve come to look at gold watches belonging to a more classical class of watch. In fact I prefer them most when they are paired with a croco or leather type strap. I think thats when they look their best.

So I’d have to say the Day Date, but I wish Rolex would re-release the DJ’s in PM as well.

I ended up buying rose gold DD 1803 and I’m really happy with it.

I can see a modern DD in my future at some point.

You say gold Rolex, you say Day-date.......

No offence, but the idea of a gold dive watch or any sport model in gold makes no sense in my books.

Well, the thing about gold watches is they mean different things to different people.

There are many jaw-dropping pics in this thread alone, but what you have to consider is, are you after the most spectacular looking watch on the planet, or do want something that fits your lifestyle and sense of fashion?

Bottom line, there is no one choice...just the choice that fits YOU best.
