No date sub - what do you think?

I'm curious what people think of the no date sub (compared to the date sub, obviously)? As a diving tool watch, it makes a lot of sense not to have a date on the dial. Esthetically speaking, not having a date window makes for a super clean dial and possibly better visibility at night.

How is the no date sub considered in the Rolex line up? Ugly duckling or just as popular as the rest?

(Personally, I also find date complications early fairly useless generally...)
