I say yes, because those gmts are not my favorite.

This is what I would do too. Personally I would get rid of the BLNR.

I would definitely get rid of anything two tone and I would get an oyster bracelet instead of the jubilee. But I wouldn’t trade it for a Daytona but get something entirely different.

Don’t own a BLNR or the TT CHNR but do have a Black 116500 and 126715

And I wouldn’t do that trade. I was enamored and all hyped up for the 116500 with owning a 520 and 523 but when I got it I was meh. It’s hype brother.

Going from GMT’s to a Daytona will be a big difference. But if you must, trade one and add cash. I’d only do a 2 for 1 if full PM is involved

The sensible compromise is trade one and add the $$$ to seal the deal. If both GMT’s don’t do it for you anymore then trade away. There is no right or wrong answers other than how much disposable $$$$ do you have to play the Rolex game.

No - the value of your two pieces is greater. Sell them both then buy Daytona

Absolutely not, but I like all watches you have more than the Daytona.

Quite frankly, if buying to keep and not flip, I'd buy all of them at retail over a stainless Daytona without a second thought. I realize that's not common.

I’d definitely do it. Whether it’s sell or trade, I’d take white Daytona over those two models especially since you still have Pepsi.

BLNR Jubilee used is worth about $18,500
CHNR two tone used is worth roughly $21k
These are prices that someone would actually cash you out at tomorrow, not chrono sky high prices or retail store walk in prices.

That’s $39,500 which is roughly the value of a new white dial Daytona. I personally don’t understand why u would have so many GMT’s but if you want the Daytona then money wise it makes sense and a pretty even trade.

I’ve condensed my collection down to a Pepsi jubilee & a white dial Daytona. And I can tell u without a doubt that it’s more than enough where you’ll never get bored and will give each watch enough wrist time.

Cheers

Based on current market prices that is a fairly even trade.

But there’s not a snowballs chance I would even consider it.

The two you have trump an SS Daytona every time.

I have done a trade deal for a Daytona just recently a Pepsi and OP41 yellow for a Daytona , I have zero regret the Daytona is different than any other watch , for you it’s even less a big deal because you still have a gmt so for me no brainer I will do it. Again think what you like the most and do it , it’s your opinion that matters the most

Assuming you got those two at retail… I would do it.

Value wise it’s a “fair” trade.

I’d probably do it to switch things up since you have 3 gmts. Blro and white dial ss daytona is a killer combo. I’d miss the chnr though as it is a special piece. Blnr, i dont really care for like that as i prefer the blro (ps. i own a blro, chnr and owned the 116500) The 116500 is def not a 40k value for a watch but it is aesthetically a sexy looking watch imo.

I would personally not make that trade for an SS daytona.

If I had your collection and I was itching for a Daytona, I would try to get a rose gold daytona at retail if possible, and sell the BLNR and CHNR to fund it.

GMT > Daytona in my opinion. I would get rid of my white DaytonaC any day of the week before I let go of my BLNR regardless of how much profit / loss I would take.

I see so many of these posts because everyone thinks the daytona is the hard one to get they must have it. I love the panda but its not worth giving away the farm for. Its this hype market. If you have to post to ask it means you don't know in your heart and you want us to make it okay. Stay the course with the GMT's and hope your AD comes through for the next watch at retail. They are worth retail. I'd not say its worth the excessive premium.

If current market prices match (I don’t have the time to look) then I’d do it. This will mean you got true market for your current pieces against the true market on the Daytona. However, if you’re taking a haircut on the value of your pieces (gifted to the grey) to get the Daytona, I wouldn’t do it.

I had the CHNR at retail and after the TRF hype wore off, it was just another undesirable (to me) TT Rolex.

Trade Opinion Needed: BLNR AND CHNR for SS Daytona White Dial

They are worth retail. I'd not say its worth the excessive premium.
Since 1988, when Rolex changed the Daytona to an automatic movement (zenith based) AND limited manufacture of it … the Daytona has always commanded a huge premium. This is not just a recent thing … it’s been over 35 years!

Yes, the premium was smaller back then, but no other Rolexes had any premium back then. I remember when Daytonas were around $8,000 but secondary market was around $12k — at that same time one could get any other Rolex steel sport at a discount. A 50% markup was UNBELIEVABLE at that time!

It has ALWAYS been the most difficult Rolex to get and ALWAYS fetched a premium. The higher premiums now are in proportion to the premiums of all Rolexes now.

I’m going to say what I always say … add the Daytona first and then decide if you want to move one of the GMTs or both.
