Definitely jubilee and fluted bezel. Otherwise you might as well get a 38mm Aqua Terra.

Thank you for the opinions. No love for the domed bezel I see. Should I listen to the crowd and change my order to the fluted? :D

Yeah I guess I could get an omega. But Omega cases are chubby and I want a Rolex.

Buying a domed dj is not the same as going for an op. First of all ops dont have date and their clasps are inferior (I've owned one of the 2020 releases and didn't like the engraved crown in the clasp). Second, Dj 36 comes with an interesting dial, a jubilee bracelet and a date. I think that the cyclops really makes the most sense in smaller watches and I also prefer smaller watches for sports because they disappear on the wrist. I would be cautious to take a white gold bezel with me to skiing or gym. And no, I dont use casios if I have a swiss watch :D

The oyster bracelet is the best most durable bracelet I know of. I like it more than any other bracelet made.

Smooth bezel goes better with oyster IMHO (flutted better with jubilee)

i am bit of a contrarian; i prefer an oyster bracelet with fluted bezel (DJ2 style) or a jubilee bracelet with the steel domed bezel. i own the latter styled DJ36 (blue dial)

I have a OP 36 and I just requested a DJ 36 from my AD (Blue, smooth bezel, jubilee). I really hope to get the call by the summer.

Can anyone with both the oyster and jubilee compare the comfort levels? I find the oyster to be very comfortable but I’m looking forward to have a jubilee on a DJ.

You can’t beat the jubilee for comfort. It also is much better at hiding signs of wear

OP, A date just will never be “an investment”. They made way too many and it might be worth more than you paid 10-20 years from now only because of inflation. If you want an investment, buy real estate or stocks or mutual/index funds.
