Have also noticed the OP41s really starting to go up in this past week. I am thrilled with the simplicity of my green OP41, and honestly am not interested in selling for any reasonable offers. Very happy with this one and the increased value helps reinforce the original purchase.

Not so crazy. I think they look a lot nicer than the Superman, Wonderboy, Aquaman BS everyone salivates over.
I gave up comic books at puberty.

Had the call on Saturday that my yellow op41 was due in this week at AD.
Can’t wait to collect it and enjoy.

Completely agree with this. Use of brown plots above the hour indices, gold accents. It’s the only version of the current color list that is truly unique.

Yup saw this last week and couldn't believe it. These OP41 are reselling for GMT and Daytona values. Very crazy times right now.

Things like this make me respect Rolex a whole lot more. By holding the production and MSRP constant, Rolex assures the iconic status and desirability of these OPs for many years to come.

Any lesser companies would have multiplied the production by ten folds or raised the MSRP by 90% trying to cash in on the initial popularity, but in doing so killed their cash cow.

Rolex can do this because its a non profit making organisation, that's what makes it unique in the watch industry.

I really don’t think their non-profit status has much to do with your perception of their lack of greed. They have very highly skilled people to pay salaries and bonuses to and expensive corporate offices and centres to fund.

Their biggest benefit is not having to bow down to greedy shareholders.

I was offered the green OP36 when I went in to pick up a Bluesy before Christmas. It wasn't the colour I asked for but I really liked it on wrist so went for it. Really pleased with the decision it has become a favourite.

the funny part is that you are really just paying 30% of the price for the OP, and the remaining 70% of the cost for the honour of having a colourful dial.

I know modding rolexes is considered sacrilege, but if you are that thirsty wouldnt you just buy any old OP at retail and get your own custom dial inserted in whatever colour you wanted.

Then you've paid a fraction of the price. It's just a dial, it baffles me.

then I suggest you buy a high end replica OP, would save even more money.
