Dial Change

Hello everybody,

I visited my AD before Christmas and order dial for my watch. I paid money for dial and they ordered dial for me. Now AD said rolex called them and said dial changing with that color is not possible anymore. What can I do, I paid my money already? Is there anyway to contact Rolex Headquarter? If I can reach them, could they help me ?

They won't supply you with a dial. Rolex has never given out parts like this in recent times.

You can do dial swaps, but only on certain models, if the dial you want was an option for your watch when you purchased it.

These dial swaps are usually only done as part of a service. Rolex usually only does swaps when a service is due or nearly due, i.e. at least 5 years from purchase.

In some cases, such as the steel daytona, the results are mixed and it is becoming more apparent Rolex doesn't want to swap dials on those, no matter how long has passed since purchase.

Phone your local service centre and ask them.

I bought my watch 6 months ago. When I paid for dail(before Christmas), AD said they ordered my dial and it would come in 3 weeks. Now they said Rolex do not send dial anymore.

Refund is the only option. You can want something different, but you won’t get something different. So save yourself the stress and just get your money back.

Alternatively, if you really really really want the dial, source it through non-official channels and get an independent watch service centre to swap the dial, accept you can never send your watch to Rolex for a service.

Call RSC to find out yourself, if they still say no, just get your refund.

Normally you cannot order additional dial, I am surprised that AD took that order.

Google Rolex Service Center in France or Call Rolex boutique/AD and get information from them.

Get refund from AD. Go direct to a service center. Would talk to both Dubai and London since you might get different answers.

FWIW, I think the dial change policies change from time to time on different references. And parts policies change for AD's/watch maker accounts as well.
