I keep the boxes for most of my expensive purchases especially watches and HIFI components.

Let me tell you, 100 Rolex boxes are alot easier to store than B&W tower boxes. HAHA.

I probably would have tossed them but my AD said that I can get a few $$$ for just the outer box. Now they just sit in the humidity controlled safe. When no on the wrist so does the watch.

I put my paper work with the box in a draw with my other watch boxes. I never kept my watches in the original box

You want to keep everything that came with your watch - in as perfect of a condition as possible.

Add $750 for a 3 year warranty in case the protector box breaks... You'd think you could do that for the initial storage box but you can't so that's how they get you...

Anyway, that's too rich for my blood. I just keep mine lying around the house. When I go on vacation I take it to a box daycare where they feed it and for an additional $50 fee they play with it for 2 hours once a day...

Now who will protect Bruce?

I may have to take up boxing....

I keep all my boxes, papers, tags, etc safe in a seperate location. Maybe I'm paranoid but if some one is able to break into my house and get into my huge safe to steal my watches I don't want them to get the original boxes and paperwork too. I want to be able to 100% prove they are my watches.

If I ever sell one of my watches the buyer will get the boxes, papers, tags and accessories just like new.

I keep them all,, inner/outer boxes and more importantly the green one. Don't have many, so no big deal and its occupying very little storage place, far less than my xmas stuff ;-)

Just curious if anyone can share how you store away your Rolex box and is it important to keep the box in good condition for future selling with the watch?
I keep my Rolex and Tudor boxes along with all tags/paperwork in separate ziplock bags stored in a zipped container in my closet. Oxygen and sunlight will eat your box and papers alive over time including turning yellow.

Dang, your first post and it’s to resurrect an old thread from 2013. Good job

Have to agree but today boxes, bits of plastic etc are deemed more important than the actual watch.

Yes, for no real reason though, as I don’t plan on selling my Rolexes, but you never know what the future brings.
