This type of stuff crosses everyone's mind. Your daytona is now worth x, and you could have xyz with that money. Ultimately it really comes down to you. Some people choose a 911 Turbo S and other people choose a Corvette + Escalade. Which do you like better? Its the same money more or less. So which do YOU prefer? If you enjoy the daytona and love wearing it, keep it. If its not fun anymore cause you keep thinking about value, maybe its time to get rid of it. I dont have a platona but i have a 116500LN and its value has trippled (i bought at retail). I could buy a lot of nice watches with that money... But i like my daytona. And I wear it often. So is trading it in something I am considering? Nope. Not yet anyway.
