Interesting who you talk to about this. One high up Rolex figure told me the dails are produced in equal quantities - just distribution of more blues goes to "higher end" ADs (i.e. massive volume for Rolex)

Pretty sure when my AD gets SS Daytonas, they get 1 white and 1 black at the same time. Not sure if it works like that for all AD's, but it was the case with mine.
