Slow BLRO: Should I send it in or just ignore it.
I got a BLRO at the end of 2019 and it has more or less functioned flawlessly the entire time. I mostly wear it on the weekends.
Lately, whether I wear it for 2 weeks straight or just the weekend, it will be running about a full minute behind, a day or two after I wind and set the time. For the most part by the end of the weekend its about a full minute slow. Is this worth sending it in for repair or is this more or less a nominal slippage that comes after the new watch smell wears off? Thanks in advance. I appreciate your input.

no, it is not normal.
However, you should undertake a valid and repeatable check of its time keeping to decide if it needs to be worked on.

A loss of 30 seconds/day would be enough to warrant service for me. Generally if my watches are within COSC (-4/+6 per day) I leave them alone. Outside of that, I consider service.

If it was fast I wouldn’t worry too much. Slow? Get it regulated.

If it's confirmed to be not running right, send it straight to Rolex and no one else for a warranty claim. After all you paid for the 5 year warranty. |

I appreciate the input. Would anyone advise taking it to my local AD or should I send directly to Rolex?

I like 'excuses' to visit an AD.

Can you ignore it?
For a watch of that age I would be inclined to have an AD or RSC look at it. It's well outside it's guaranteed spec and could be on its way to a bigger issue. I would also fully wind it and wear it 24/7 for a week before sending it off, just to make sure. |

It’s under warranty so why note use it? Keep in mind the long turn around. I dropped off a piece at the BH service center early November and I don’t anticipate snack until March April!

My AD is also a service center. My sub date was running about 9 seconds slow per day.
After review, they indicated that a part needed to be replaced due to some corrosion around the shaft. Something they’ve seen quite often with some of the 32 series movements. |

Send it to RSC and they will take care of it under warranty. What your are experiencing isn't unheard of with that movement (especially the earlier models as such) and Rolex will service it and send it back your way.

My BLRO, acquired in 2018, became erratic at about two years. Sometimes near perfect, other times gaining or mostly losing several minutes a day. My AD sent it to the Dallas RSC, it came back with no explanation but has been near perfect since.

I let my AD send it in for me. Their coin and a layer of courtesy on their part. Even though you live in LA I’m pretty sure they will send it to Dallas. I think mine was gone around 4-5 weeks.

I‘d definitely send it in! Just make shure you receive it in the same condition as you dropped it off. I‘ve had some bad experience with sloppy RSC work leaving scratches on case and dings on lugs from springbar ejection

Early 32xx ones more prone to problems - get them fixed early - then it becomes like a new one :-)

I would definitely get that checked out. I'm fortunate that my AD has a trained watchmaker who can accurately time my watches and give me an informed recommendation whether the watch needs service or just a regulation.
In your shoes, I would look for such a person. Good luck, |

I have a late 2019 BLRO as well. Its run slow by 15 seconds per day since I got it. I probably need to get her sent in as well. As I wear it in rotation with several other watches, I usually end up winding / resetting at least once a week. Therefore, the time loss has not been an issue thus far. It's only when I wear it a week straight or more that I even notice it's running slow.
I've been waiting for the "got the call" from my AD that he has a Sub Date for me. Figured I'd send the BLRO in when I pick the Sub up. Problem is, it's been nearly 18 months since I requested the Sub Date, and no call. Bummer. |

That's far more inaccuracy then is warrented. I'd get if fixed. I'm not certain if something is broken and more damage could be done by running it; maybe someone else can comment on that possibility.

You know that 2000 page thread that pops up every now and then called 32xx issues or something it’s that unfortunately. I don’t have a lot of confidence with these movements I’m 3 from 6 with issues. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

What we really need in this diescussion is someone who familiar with the movements and the problems they have; I've never seen a healthy Rolex behave like the OP's. I'd love to hear what the resolution is on this watch.

My GMT had same issues. AD sent it to Rolex. After 3 months got it back two weeks ago. Keeping perfect time now. Send it in!

Personally though I will not buy another 32xx until we hear for certain (if ever) that the issue is resolved. |

I appreciate all of the feedback. I'll stop by my AD tomorrow and drop it off.
My cousin has the same watch from the same time period and had a similar issue. Said he sent it in and its perfect again (for now).
