Great GMT IIc article for download...
While researching for another members post I came across this great review of the GMT IIc from the August 2006 Watchtime by Jens Koch. In case you missed it!
You can click the link and it will download the Adobe PDF article. Great review with technical data on the movement and accuracy test data. --Paul www.watchbizz.com/archive/wt_2006_04/WT_2006_04_116.pdf

Sure can go backwards when setting the date on the GMTII 3185/3186, just don't do either when the hands are around midnight time. I have to think it wouldn't hurt it on a modern movement like this but I'm not going to try on mine.

You set the date by jumping the hour with the crown in the second position. So, in fact you will be setting the date when the hands are around midnight and this is how it's supposed to work. |

I've seen this before and found it interesting that the only areas where the watch didn't get a perfect score were in the subjective areas of appearance. The reviewer didn't particularly care for the green dial. That aside, perfect scores in all the areas that matter.

Yes you can go backwards with the Explorer II also.
Very handy when you fly to USA from Japan and gain a day. |
