Are Tudor models also hard to come by?
I'm obviously familiar with the challenges in sourcing a steel Rolex. What's the situation for Tudor? Are there Tudor models that are also (maybe not equally) hard to obtain? If so, which ones?

Some are harder than others, apparently the new steel Tudor BB Chronos are a long wait. I waited about 4 months for my BB58 blue (on bracelet), but I don't think that one is hard to get anymore either. FXD might be tough to get given it's still so new.
I think the BB chronos are the only ones that have a similar situation to a Rolex model. But that could change as the shine wears off. |

I spoke to an AD in Edinburgh last year and he said new ones are hard to come by, especially the BB Chronos but I think when the buzz dies off then ya might have a better chance of grabbing one

Seems like Tudor is making a habit of keeping low production for the first year. Blue BB58, the BB Chronos, now the FXD.

Panda Chrono's seem to have some AD's still advising a wait time. Having said that, many pieces become widely available after about a year or so but some grey or second hand sources still ask for almost AD prices depending on the particular piece.

The new chronos are harder to get. BB58 with bracelets (both colors) are becoming easier to get. I consistently see blue ones in stock and black are fairly obtainable (i.e. arrives next shipment type of thing).
Other harder one is the new BB ceramic. But that's about it. I'm waiting on a ceramic myself. |

I recently purchased a Black Bay. I had a very specific configuration I was looking for, and it took about a month to get. They had plenty of models in stock both when I first went to look and when I picked up.

I wear my Tudor Pepsi around the house - minimizes wear and tear on the Rolex ones :-)
Mine was in the AD's display cabinet in november. |

New releases, sometimes.
Others, no. (Try not shedding a tear for the speculators who are dumping GMTs and one of the 29 other BB variants they thought would be ‘rare’. ) |

Depends on where you are
I'm in Aus and it looks like pretty much every Model (except the BB Chrono and the new FXD) can be had either on the spot or with a short wait I don't believe many models will be discounted though |

No, I have them all with absolutely no problem or wait. Silver, BB58 in every single variation, Gold, Black Ceramic, Boutique exclusive full bronze, all were in stock except for full bronze one which I had to wait 2 weeks for, so not hard to come by at all. All were bought at Tudor at msrp.

I had to wait about 2 months for a 1926 in a specific configuration I was looking for.

New pelagos, ceramic, and the Tudor chrono will likely have a wait of a few months. The bill, the gmt, and the BB58 seem pretty easy to get. One of my AD has them sitting in the case fairly often.

Why are new BB58s (blue and black) higher than MSRP on the grey market if no wait?

Only specific models. Black Bay Ceramic, Black Bay Chrono (white and black), Pelagos FXD. All others are readily available at ADs.

Most Tudor models are readily available, but FWIW I waited longer for my Black Bay Chrono Panda then any Rolex watch I’ve ever gotten.

I have been waiting for 5 months for my Bronze BB58... annoyingly they now have demo models in the boutique but non for distribution. At least not to me as i suspect i dont have enough purchase history with the group.

When I started calling my local AD's about the Tudor GMT they all said that it was "very popular" and not generally available. Took a punt around my birthday last Sep and re-called around. Next day one called back and said it had literally just arrived that day and did I want it. I think the Availability / Popularity equation is pretty straight forward to work out. No inverse square laws at play here.

Got my Black Chrono last year, it was on display (white one has a waitlist apparently). They're not that hard.
