Help choosing everose DJ

Hi

I am looking to put my name down for a DJ Rosegold and cant decide the combo to go for, i am 35yrs old and will wear is mostly in casual settings so the fluted bezel looks too blingy. Does a smooth bezel with jubilee work..in general i do prefer the oyster bracelet should i just go for that?

For the dial colour does black/chocolate lool better than white? I have a small wrist just over 6 inch so may go for 36mm but undecided, in case that makes a difference

Also finally are these hard to get? I have no ad relationship in my new area

Oyster bracelet goes better with smooth bezel, but in that combo you will see a LOT of scratches to bezel & bracelet trust me just something to think of, the jubilee bracelet with fluted bezel is the one I would definitely choose looks a lot better imo & it’s not to blingy, and it will hide the scratches a lot better, chocolate dial is really nice and popular at the moment goes really well with this combo. 36mm should be fine, as for getting your hands on one best thing to do is go to local AD and just ask. I prefer fluted with a gold bezel. It really catches the light.

If going with the smooth bezel, I prefer the "smooth" oyster bracelet.

36mm is the classic size and likely a better fit for you, unless you like a larger watch appearance/presence on the wrist. I can manage the 41mm…looked at a 41mm DJ with chocolate dial and smooth bezel and Oyster bracelet. Beautiful watch, but a 36mm is just better proportioned for my slim wrist.

On one visit to an AD last year I saw this white dial DJ. The only Rolex in the case! I’d once considered the classic yellow gold model with champagne dial, but something about it didn’t suit me. However, this white dial and rose gold combination with fluted bezel and jubilee bracelet immediately appealed to me.

I put it on layaway, to buy time to think it over. In the meantime, I checked out that 41mm DJ at a Rolex boutique. Also looked at a yellow gold again. And, a 36mm rose gold with the slate dial. I concluded 36mm was the best proportion for me and that rose gold suited my skin tone better than yellow.

In the end, I bought the white dial I’d put on layaway that’s pictured here and like it very much. The gold markings on the dial give a warmth to the white dial that’s unexpected. And, it’s a versatile dial color. The slate dial version of the same watch is very nice, too.

With the jubilee, I tend to favor a fluted bezel and don’t find it overpowering at all. And, it’s certainly iconic.

The jubilee bracelet is exceptionally comfortable, too.

If I was going with a 41mm two tone, I think I’d go with a smooth bezel and oyster bracelet. With the larger presence of the 41, I might find the fluted/jubilee combination too flashy for my tastes.

Hope you find the model that suits you best. These days, they’re all hard to come by, but the 36mm may be a bit easier to find.

i might go for Oyster with WG bazel version instead, WG bazel makes wearing look slightly larger on the write and you still get the Oyster bracelet in 36mm i would pick Wimbledon or slate grey dial, or the new fluted silver dial. All looks pretty amazing.

I love my SSDJ with a jubilee and smooth bezel, however the bracelet is very noticeable and doesn't always look good in some casual situations. Now this is MY opinion and not that of everyone else.

If I was buying my DJ again I would go Oyster/Fluted or Oyster/Smooth as for me the bezel is less blingy than the jubilee bracelet.

Because I no longer work and wear shirts less than I used to the jubilee bracelet has become more noticeable when out in jeans and a T or similar attire, so a change of bracelet may be in order for me.

As for size go for what suits you, 36mm is the 'classic' size but can look small on some wrists, it certainly does on mine but that may appeal to you.

A difficult task when you can't get these watches easily and doing a try on is almost impossible in some cases.

Depends on how flat your wrist is. I think at 6in though the 41 is likely too large for you. I have the 3rd option with the sundust dial and my wrist is a bit under 7in.

Great watch and the rose gold + flat bezel + oyster gives it a very muted and warm look. Consider the sundust dial too, a bit more casual than the chocolate.

All are great. I love my RG DJ41. Get the one you feel is best for you. The Jubilee will hide scratches much better than the Oyster, but still, get the one you like best. You're the one that will be wearing it.

With a 6" wrist, I think the 36mm will look perfect!

Oyster bracelet with smooth dial. I had a dj steel with Roman numerals I sold last year. Loved the watch. Easy to wear daily or dress up with

I’d go with oyster and fluted bezel. This was the best combination for me.

The smooth bezel takes away the essence of the DJ, so it should have fluted. I tried the jubilee but found it too light and clumsy looking. Also combination of fluted and jubilee made the watch too busy for my taste.

I wore my DJ fluted with oyster for three years. Never regretted.
