Rolex Deepsea in Oystersteel Retail vs Gray/Used

I'm noticing the new AD price of the Deepsea Rolex Deepsea 126660 is $13,850 and the gray/used market price for a 1-2 year old Deepsea are not that far off at 13-15K in price especially when I add sales tax to the AD price. I assume theirs just not a lot of demand for this watch due to size? Just trying to get some opinions on this.

You nailed it on the size issue. I love my SD43, but I know I am in the small minority who doesn't mind a bigger watch. Judging by my time on TRF, I think most aim for the 36mm-40mm range, so the SD43 and Deepsea aren't going to have nearly as much demand.

D/blue starts to get some premium but all others aren’t really motivating flippers, which is good IMO.

I'm so glad to have the 126660 JC. People who own, wear and love these are rarely accused of buying it to experience a large financial gain.

I love mine. I have actually had people tell me “that can’t be a Rolex, it doesn’t have the bubble [cyclops]”

Yeah it’s only the 2021-2022 126660 d-blue who demands a premium. Will get mine in a months time, I can see there is a 5-6000 usd in profit if I would sell it right now.. Witch never will happen..

The old 116660 is actually a bargain at the moment.
