37mm Overseas as unisex?

Wondering what people think about a man wearing the 37mm Vacheron Overseas 2300V. It seems (with the offered colorways and diamond studding) that VC is targeting women with this piece, but, then, older OS models were 37, and on, say, a sub-7” wrist, it strikes me that it could actually be a better fit than the huge 4500Vs.

I mean, the Day-Date has been 36 on men’s wrists for a long time.

Would you consider it?

They make the 37mm without the diamonds. I think it would be a nice watch for a guy that doesn't have a large wrist. Sometimes I see a guy wearing the 4500v and think it looks too large for his wrist. So no, I don't think it's a watch only for women.

I really wish the overseas was 39 or 40mm because it already wears very large as is. You’ll definitely be fine with the 37mm.

nautilus 7118 used to be unisex too. Size is a trend.

You're a man, so when you wear it, it's a man's watch.

I am allegedly a man. :) Honestly, as my wife has marveled, I spend more time thinking about “jewelry” than she does.

Meh, the time for brittle, toxic masculinity is over.

Wear what you love and own it.

Like this VC, for example.

37mm is definitely not a female-only watch. I didn't like the 9:00 placement of the sub-seconds on the 2300V, otherwise would have more seriously considered that one.

I have been told that the 2300v is discontinued. The only version remaining is wirh diamond. Also, you will notice that the 4500v version, it's not a sunburst blue dial.

Yeah, I'm catching on to that: it would appear there aren't many--or perhaps any--2300Vs without diamonds left at RRP, and not many on the secondary market. I think I prefer the flat blue dial to the sunburst, though. Everyone goes crazy for the sunburst, but to my eyes, the silver and black dial 4500s are more attractive. The blue is beautiful, but I think I'd get tired of it eventually.

1,000 times this - perfect take on this perennial topic. And the 37 mm Overseas is a great watch for a guy (wish I could buy one new myself, since anything over 40 is too big for me, including the Overseas).

I think it's absolutely fine. 37mm is big enough size.

You won't because it's basically a black / dark dark navy dial in most indoor lighting conditions and cloudy days. You get black for free as a 2 for 1.

If you love it, get it.

37mm is fine. Some stars still rock their 36mm DD.

I tried the 37mm at the boutique in Vancouver back in 2020. I definitely think the 37mm can be worn by men. For reference, my wrist is 6.5 inches.

If a 37mm suits your wrist & you favour the design, then go fo it!

6.5 inch small albeit flat wrist. It's all a matter of perspective. Looks no bigger than a 39mm with arm at the side in front of the mirror.

size is always relative. Although they say size does not matter, I remember I saw the meme saying "then how come there is no 2 inches dildo"

Back to the 37mm, looks perfect. Seriously.

6.5 inch wrist, tried both the 37 and 41 models, both were no good - dial felt too small/big.

Waiting on a 39mm overseas…
