Singapore Ap chances

Hello everybody! Wanted to hear from you guys for advice, opinion and suggestions. All are welcome!

Recently I’m looking to purchase my very first AP watch. I’m looking at the steel 38mm royal oak chrono due to my small wrist size. More specifically the Grey and the 50th anniversary blue. I know it’s almost impossible to get that kind of watch as a first purchase but I would like to know what’s the current situation like for Ap for first time purchaser ? Do we need to have lots of purchase history to able to get one ? Thanks 🙏

You might try, but last thing I heard is that they won't even let you into the store without an appointment now. So be sure to send them a message or give them a call in advance. My impression is that they barely have any stock at this moment, and the average joe probably have better chances winning the lottery than getting a Royal Oak Chrono to be honest.

Same boat as you, doesn’t hurt to try so I called the Liat Towers AP last week for an appointment and was told there’s a wait list for that too So I’m guessing it’s not very likely

You will not get any AP RO this year with 50th anniversary rotor as a new client, even smaller existing clients are told pretty much no chance (me).

Keep up the contact and interest and may get lucky next year onward.

The 50th anniversary 38mm chrono is 26715st, which comes with 50 anni rotor. From your pic, you got 26315st.

MyAP AD in only have straps in stock nowadays…

I was a customer for 6 years bought several watches so i could one day get the Dream watch 15407OR. Until the skeleton become boutique exklusive and my AD isn’t a boutique.

So i now have to find a new boutique and start my purschase history on 0 again

I once tried to call an boutique for the skeleton, salesperson told me straight out, this watch is for our best clients only.

So i would not bother give it a try today. Singapore/Africa/greenland… same s**t

The watch game nowadays is hard to play. It is almost impossible to get a royal oak for first timers. Trying buying a Code and build relationship first

26715 is still solid caseback, making the rotor-issue less exciting.

Not to pour cold water, but trying to get a AP Royal Oak as a first time customer is about as easy as winning lottery nowadays as someone has put it. Only three kind of customers can get ready access to APs nowadays from official sales channel.

1) The super rich, famous or celebs. Billionaires, Rappers, footballers, musicians that kind

2) The Die-hard customers that keep buying every year and throwing millions at boutique to keep their VVIP status in the hope of getting allocation.

3) The ordinary Joe who are super persistant, keep contacting the boutique, perhaps buy a Code or so, trying to make the boutique sales people to like you. Maybe after a long wait ( years ), might be lucky to get allocated.

Alternatively, pay up and go grey. I know this may sound off-putting but that's the reality. Hope this helps.

Was at MBS today and tried to have a look in the boutique there. No availability for appointments for the rest of the month. And no stock. So waitlists just getting longer (and presumably my chances of getting an allocation fading)

Congrats! I think you’re one of the rare few to get allocated so quickly. Which boutique did you get your RO from?

I’m an ex-client that don’t fit into any categories as I am not (1) and not willing to be (2) and (3) But that’s ok as I am more into lesser hyped Brands nowadays.
