Fair point. Though I’d view the YM as a “classic” dial rather than generic. Rolex’s classic stylistic language may be similar to other Rolex models, but I wouldn’t say that’s generic. Conversely, I don’t think the ROO diver is a “similar” looking dial as much as it looks average… if “generic” is too harsh of a word. Again, only my opinion as a dude who does not have either watch or any ambition to have either watch. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

No worries; thank you for clarifying your point of view. I suppose an alternative view, which may be similar to what you're suggesting, is that the OP has a tapisserie dial already in the form of the unique 43mm taupe; so a uniformly black tapisserie might be ordinary for him.. vs having a different appearing rolex dial, which makes some sense.
Nevertheless, I would still personally trade a ym42 for a ceramic diver, if the opportunity presented itself. |

I couldn’t wait, I paid a bit over list, spent too much time building Rolex relationships and not ap. can’t get a foothold. Going to buy my wife a 37mm Royal Oak to get in the ladder next year. It’s the best watch I’ve ever had and I’ve had a lot. If you got sub 7 inch wrist get the small straps. You should see it in a sunny day, pictures don’t do it justice! Hope it comes soon! Just to finish off, it’s arrived, so happy, went to set the time and the crown came out in my hand!!!!
It’s going back tomorrow for a full repair and pressure test. Ordinarily I would ask for a refund but it’s so amazing and rare I’m going to keep it. Would you? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |
