At long last! Incoming with finality

Ok ladies and gents,

This might be a long one

So for some of you and others that keep in touch with me here on TRF it’s widely known I’ve been chasing and yearning for one more. I’ll admit I’ve also done my fair share of whining along the way. It’s a long story but I mentioned here and there about the many many “almost’s” and the teases but could never ever get “the call” that ended up with me actually getting one. Five “Would you if I could” but never hey I got it.

So after a lot of thought and a ton of PM’s with my pals Jay and Rory aka JSolution and IR201 I finally said F it and made a call. Thank you both for putting with me and reading all my PM’s. It was a hard decision to make but being this model was one that just kept eluding me I finally had enough. Should I have kept waiting and waiting? Maybe but what’s most important I’m happy. Will the actual call ever come my way? I don’t know. I’ve had a fair to party cloudy amount of A D success so maybe it will one day. If it does I’ll cross that bridge when it comes. But I will say for the first time I no longer care if it does. This piece gives me a sense of finality that I’ve never had.

The wife and I looked over the entire Rolex website and there was not one model that interested me. Now are there models that I’d like to have if I ever got called? Of course. I mean who wouldn’t want a 116506 or something like that? Duh. Sign me up. But point being there wasn’t anything that would make me want to call and asked to be on the list. We all know about lists anyway

So in the end my SS collection? Complete. Doesn’t get much wrist time. TT collection? Have a few. Good there and gets even less wrist time than SS.

And as to the main part of my ever illusive collection, most worn by far, and this thread, Rose Gold? Complete!!!!!! Done. Game over. End game. Call it what you will.

So without further adieu here is the one that ended any future incomings and the three that will be my daily’s for pretty much forever. Thanks guys for taking the time to read my novel

Glad to see that you finally went out and made a move, it's a beaut.

Wouldn't it be funny if you actually get a call for a 05 next month? That would be even more awesome lolll. Either way, enjoy!

Hey brother. You had a PM or 2 as well. Thank you for reading those rants.

But yeah as Boyz II Men once said “We’ve come to the end of the road”

That would be something. That will fall into the category of “if”

Would I pass? I doubt it but the point is I no longer care if if it does. When I got the 126715 in July 2021 I became obsessed with RG then added the 326935 like 3 months later. Why I wanted the duo to become a trio I don’t really know but no collection is really complete without a Daytona. Plus in RG my only other option is a DD which I eliminated because of the fluted bezel on the SkyD and a Cellini which I also eliminated because well it’s a Cellini Sorry to those who own or love it.

But a 505 would possibly be a player.

Thank you both for keeping up with my saga/drama

I know brother.

Famous last words right? We will see.

SS Subs Explorers SeaDwellers Daytona’s, Check

Then YG or WG I don’t see it. Yellow is to loud for me but beautiful in its own right. WG is well WG. Also beautiful but the only model I’d consider is the new 41 Sub. Kinda digging the blue bezel and black dial but I don’t look at it and say Wow. Granted Jay and others have a Meteorite DD and it’s amazing

Then lastly Platinum. A 116506 would be straight nuts but being I can’t get a call for a lowly 505/515 I don’t think I’ll ever in a hundred years get that call. So back to those famous last words, it’s looking that way. Maybe Watch and Wonders will blow us all away. Not betting on it. More cosmetic tweaks here we come

agreed about wg. some great models there like the meteorite DD and GMT but i just can't get into it for some reason. i prefer yellow even though it's loud. platinum is different though, i see the appeal there but mostly because the combination of platinum + ice blue just works so well. totally out of my price range though so not like it even matters lol

Yeah ditto on the Platinum

The DD and Daytona with the ice blue dial is omg in looks and yes price

Can’t swing it either. Well idk. If we both got an A D call and unloaded something in PM in this market we might be ok

Congratulations! I’m after this piece as well. I know what you mean about RG, I picked up a RG YM last year and my wife has a chocolate dial DJ so your piece is perfect for me. Enjoy!
