First AD Rolex landed

So started going to a few AD for about a month now.....stop in about once a week....anyhow this landed yesterday so seems easy to obtain watches if your persistent......maybe this just not a highly desired model.....I can't call it.....but Daytona 116519LN. ....I feel like I just got lucky and ran into a stand up salesman.....I'll for sure be shopping more with him ....big props.

I own other Rolex's but they grey market pieces....this first one from AD 🧨🧨🔥

Yeah, that one’s not very desired. Probably why you got it so quickly. I heard that one can be had only slightly above MSRP on the gray market.

Congrats. It depends where you are I'm fairly certain. Locally to me no version of Daytona is easy to obtain.

It’s extremely desired in Europe and very very very hard to get and even with some of my friend in the USA still waiting to get this . You hit the jackpot . It’s definitely a desired model well done .

Am I stuck in a time warp? The post says it was made today but the content seems to be from 2017

Great watch! Congratulations on a lucky find. In no way would I say that it is not "highly desired".

Glad I’m not the only one! I read that reply and had to scroll back up to make sure I saw the pic correct.

Anyways congrats on the pickup! I would say you got lucky - in this current market getting anything that quick is great never mind a OF Daytona. Enjoy it in good health!

ADs handle things different but the whole notion that there is an actual “list” that they just go down and cross off as watches come in is far fetched in almost all cases. Being genuine and on the mind of an SA when they sit in that allocation meeting is usually what it takes.

I've been 'persistent' for about 6 years.... crickets. Spent $50k on rolex watches for my wife in the meantime.

But congrats OP! Nice watch.

(I think I know what to do: "I need a GMT BLNR on Oyster for my wife" Then I'll have it in two weeks)

Def not true.

This watch may not be as desirable as say a stainless steel Daytona, but definitely just as hard or harder to acquire because of amount produced.

Hmmm, wondering where you "heard" that...because it's not even remotely true.

OP: Congrats, great watch!

Ok, based on the responses to my post, good reminder to me that sarcasm is hard to express in type. At least for me, I guess.

Yes, I know this is a highly desired watch that’s selling way over MSRP in the secondary market. It just seemed odd that someone who has multiple watches sourced from gray dealers wouldn’t have been able to find out in < 1 min that this was a desirable watch.

Beautiful watch! A huge congrats! That is one of my favorite refs as I really love that steel and black dial. The black ceramic bezel with the black subdials really sets it off for me. I haven't followed the market on these as they are out of my budget. I thought they were a highly desirable model and went way over MSRP as well. I know it will never happen, but I would love if they offered that dial on a steel version!

This is a 70k-75k watch market value. I have one and love it. Got it in 2019 when you could. Prices are nuts on these and it’s a spectacular watch. Congrats! Enjoy it.

I’m so lost. Forgive me. I assume you mean this dial is from 2017

I didn’t realize there were any changes in this particular dial since introduced but the Chocolate dial has changed a bit plus various other changes in other colors
